Seven things to bring with you:

1. Bring your portfolio! This is your chance to introduce yourself and find out who’s who at your favorite schools.

2. Bring a list of questions before you go so that you don’t forget to find out everything that you want to know.

3. Bring an open mind. Maybe you’ll find the perfect school…and maybe it’s a school you hadn’t considered before.

4. Bring a professional attitude. Of course.

5. Bring you smile. This often gets underused in our email-centric lives, but it can really help you in your face-to-face contacts.

6. Bring a pen (or two!) and a writing pad - or your Blackberry. You’re going to want to take notes, not only for the presentations and panel discussion, but also to take note of people that you meet, along with a sentence or two to help you remember who they were when you get home. Always build bridges because you’ll never know when you’ll want to cross one.

7. Bring $7 to park on campus.
